A leading Worcestershire digital and creative communications agency is celebrating one year with their first ever apprentice, during National Apprenticeship Week.
Conteur, which has had a base in the city for over ten years, welcomed Eleanor Inge, 22, to their team as Digital Marketing Apprentice back in February 2021.
Now, one year on from her appointment to the team, Eleanor is approaching completion of her Level 3 Digital Marketing Apprenticeship at The Heart of Worcestershire College, a formal learning scheme that provides an alternative route into the creative industries.
Within her role, Eleanor has worked with members of the Conteur team on various areas of the business, including creating, designing and implementing digital marketing strategies for clients across Conteur’s specialist sectors of Health and Social Care, Technology, Property and Hospitality.
Conteur have built a market-leading reputation in a handful of key sectors and provide an integrated offering of PR, digital marketing, video production, SEO and graphic design.
Speaking of her apprenticeship with Conteur, Eleanor said: “I saw doing an apprenticeship as the opportunity to start a new career for myself. For those who either want to get straight into working life, or have taken a different journey in education like myself, it’s a great opportunity for learning and growing your skill set, while obtaining industry experience. Flexible hours at Conteur and the ability to work from home was another huge draw for me as a mother of a young child.”
She continued; “I have really enjoyed working in such a creative and growing industry with Conteur. Digital marketing is a fantastic blend of both logical and creative thinking, and combined with the 35 hours a month of independent learning, I have not only worked on areas that I use daily as a marketer but also stepped outside that and learnt skills such as web design and coding, which I will definitely be incorporating into my work life in the future”.
During 2021 the company was shortlisted for Best Care Home Marketing, Advertising, PR or Digital Initiative in the 2021 Care Home Awards.
Despite the pandemic, the firm appointed three new additions to its growing team in 2020 after numerous client wins and continued growth. In 2021, Conteur appointed Eleanor as well as adding a further four new members to the team.

This latest appointment follows a busy twelve months for Conteur, with this being their eighth appointment in two years.
