A leading Worcestershire digital and creative communications agency has celebrated their 10th anniversary this month.
Conteur, who have built a market-leading reputation in a handful of key sectors, provide an integrated offering of PR, digital marketing and graphic design and another team of dedicated video production specialists with a base in the city for the last ten years.
Founded in 2011 by partners, David Huckerby and Gillian Davies, the company started as a PR agency in the dining room of their house. Originally known as GD PR & Media, the team completely rebranded three years ago to Conteur (the French word for storyteller).
Director, Gillian Davies said: “At our core, we are storytellers in every element of the business – from the stories we shout to the world about for our clients through PR and digital marketing to the narratives we put together through our award winning videos – it all comes down to being able to spot and tell a good story. We’ve built up a fantastic team of journalists and marketing experts who love nothing more than to make a story go viral for our clients.”
Since its inception, the company has gone from strength to strength, taking on many notable clients, including HC-One, David Lloyd, Specsavers, ArrangeMy Escape, Access Fertility, Malvern Spa, HAS Technology and Polaris.
In 2020, Conteur took home a Royal Television Society award for their production featuring Worcestershire’s own The Real Flower Petal Confetti Company.
During 2021, the company also was shortlisted for Best Care Home Marketing, Advertising, PR or Digital Initiative in the 2021 Care Home Awards.
Despite the pandemic, the firm appointed three new additions to it’s growing team in 2020 after numerous client wins and continued growth. In 2021, Conteur appointed their first apprentice and added a further four new additions to the team.
Earlier this month, Conteur hosted their 10 year anniversary event at Bolero Bar in Worcester, inviting friends, family, clients and individuals who have helped Conteur grow over the past decade to celebrate with them.
