The Worcestershire Growth Hub team successfully held a Net Zero Business Breakfast event to outline the support available to help businesses make sustainability changes.
With over 50 businesses in the room, the event provided an opportunity to hear from expert speakers on the issue of global warming, why we need to make sustainability improvements and also what support there is to help businesses make those changes.
Delivered by the Worcestershire Growth Hub, the event featured speakers from the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, Worcestershire County Council and a special presentation from the Growth Hub’s Green Energy and Sustainability Advisor, The Clean Tech Business Group. Attendees learnt that they are a variety of support programmes, funds and advice available to help Worcestershire businesses make sustainability changes to their business, to help the country reach its Net Zero target.
The breakfast event was also the introduction to the UK Carbon Net Zero Tour Bus, which visited Worcester on Monday to host an event in the county. The Net Zero Tour bus has been travelling across the UK and will be finishing its tour at the COP26 Conference in Glasgow.
This event marks the start of a series of sustainability content from the Worcestershire Growth Hub and Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership which will lead up to COP26, highlighting key topics, issues and case studies from across the county. More information on this new series of content is available on the Worcestershire LEP website. – www.wlep.co.uk
