Great news, at last, the Business Energy Efficiency Programme is now officially live in Shropshire.
The funding agreement has been issued by MHCLG and signed off by Worcestershire County COuncil.
This means that:
- BEEP energy efficiency Advisors Pro Enviro Ltd will now be contracted to provide 25 free energy efficiency assessments to Shropshire SME’s.
- 100K grant funding is available for Shropshire business to access.
- An additional 100K will be available to both Telford and Herefordshire SME’s.
There is also a small amount of revenue underspend re-allocated to capital in all of the original areas (including Worcestershire).
Next steps
- A partnership agreement is being finalised with Shropshire Council, however we can start before this is finalised.
- A press release is being drafted.
- Website, promotional material and project literature is being updated and will be distributed in due course.
- Any referrals on the waiting list will be contacted.
