Clean Hands, Safe Hands
In 2022 Public Health in Worcestershire launched their new campaign ‘Clean Hands Safe Hands’.  During the Covid-19 pandemic, handwashing was promoted as an effective way of reducing the risk of passing on the virus.

The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness of the importance of continuing good hand hygiene, in particularly during the winter months to minimise the risk of passing germs on to others.

To support this, Public Health have developed a toolkit and posters for workplaces to use. This includes resources to encourage workforces to regularly wash their hands as part of their everyday routine.

The key message is washing your hands with soap and water is still the best way to make sure your hands are germ-free as hand sanitisers are not effective against some germs like the winter sickness bug, Norovirus.

The workplace toolkit and posters can be accessed below: https://bit.ly/WorcsWorkplaceResources

Hard copies of the posters can be picked up in Worcestershire libraries and can also be sent out to businesses. If you would like us to post these to you or require further details, please contact Rachel Cockayne, Public Health Practitioner at RCockayne@worcestershire.gov.uk

If you have any other suggestions and ideas on ways that we can promote handwashing within workplaces please get in touch : RCockayne@worcestershire.gov.uk
