Enterprise For Success is a new project to encourage new business start-ups and help young businesses grow and thrive.

The programme is funded by Greater Birmingham and Solihull LEP partners  and part-funded by the European Regional and Development Fund and is open to anyone considering self-employment or starting a small business and for new young businesses less than two years old. The programme provides access to FREE business support, which is delivered by Blue Orchid, and comprises a range of business workshops together with individual business support sessions. Support is delivered locally and covers the eight district areas of:

• Solihull, Cannock, East Staffordshire, Lichfield, Tamworth, Wyre Forest, Bromsgrove Redditch

Pre Start Support 

This is delivered through a combination of workshops, individual business support meetings and networking events.

Two Day Business Start-up Course – This course is aimed at people who are considering, or have taken some steps towards, starting up a business. It covers all aspects of setting up a business – from getting the right mind set to basic financial control techniques, market research and writing a business plan. Workshops are delivered on a weekly basis across all district areas.

Individual Business Support Sessions – Following attendance on the above course clients will be matched with a local Blue Orchid Advisor who will provide tailored one-to-one support throughout the start-up process to progress the client trading point.

Networking events provide the opportunity for clients to build and develop networking skills and give them the confidence to attend other local business networking events.

Post Start Support 

This is delivered through a combination of business development workshops, individual business support meetings and networking events to help address key challenges a young business may be facing.

Business Development Workshops provide intensive support to address key issues such as Accounts & Bookkeeping, Social Media, Sales & Marketing and Website Improvement.

Individual Business Support Sessions – Clients will be matched with a local Blue Orchid Business Advisor who will provide tailored one-to-one support to provide advice and guidance with key business issues and to help the business owner develop clear business growth goals.

Networking events provide the opportunity for clients to build new business contacts and raise their business profile.
