Start-Up Club
Enterprising Worcestershire are partnering with Smarter Society to bring you the Start-Up Club. Smarter Society have extensive experience supporting and sharing their knowledge with individuals hoping to start and develop their own business.
The support is available to anyone, whether their business idea is B2B or B2C, and Start-Up Club will be running across Worcestershire Districts over the coming months. The course promises to deliver engaging, informative, and interactive information across 5 days and will cover a wide range of topics from sales and marketing through to pitching an idea. Upon completion of the course, individuals can also access up to 2 hours of additional 1:1 support.
Each day runs from 10am – 3pm and is suitable for all aspiring entrepreneurs considering starting a business. Every course is run by a former business owner from Smarter Society, who has been through all the highs and lows of self-employment.
The support is delivered at the following locations:
Kidderminster, 7th – 11th November;
Evesham, 28th November – 2nd December;
Bromsgrove, 23rd – 27th January 2023;
Redditch, 6th – 10th March 2023;
Worcester, 27th – 31st March 2023.

B2C (Business to Consumer) Business Support
One-to-one (1:1) Support
Smarter Society, a third party partnering with Enterprising Worcestershire, will be providing access to 1:1 support for B2C businesses. The maximum time available is 2 hours and could be on any subject that will help your business. The support is free to you.
To be eligible for this support your business must be:
- based in Worcestershire;
- less than 5 years old;
- trading predominantly B2C.

Business Coaching
Smarter Society are providing this support, too. It consists of 3 to 6 hours of consultation, possibly over multiple sessions. The focus will be on you as an individual and how you approach your business. Technical advice e.g. the development of a business plan, is excluded as this is available through the 1:1 support. The support is free to you.
To be eligible for this support your business must be:
- based in Worcestershire;
- less than 5 years old;
- trading predominantly B2C.

Worcestershire Libraries
Business and Intellectual Property Centre (BIPC), Worcestershire
Enterprising Worcestershire works with a number of partners, including the BIPC, which is a national network and, in Worcestershire it is part of Worcestershire Libraries. The BIPC has a range of resources available to all businesses and individuals, including access to business databases and interesting events. If you have not already contacted the BIPC, you can do so by sending an email to: bipc@worcestershire.gov.uk.
Enrich
Enterprising Worcestershire have partnered with the University of Worcester to provide the Enrich Project. This provides free business start-up support to young people based around key topics including Ideation, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Business Planning/Business Model Canvas, Finance and Sales and Marketing. The support consists of workshops, 1:1 support, mentoring, pitching competitions and much more.
