Hello again and welcome to the February 2024 newsletter from the Worcestershire Growth Hub team. As we head towards the end of the second month of 2024, already the growth up team continue to work with local businesses, providing them with the information, advice and guidance they need to support their growth. As part of this, we have also been hard at work creating new events and opportunities to help businesses across the county to understand the range of support that is available out there.
We have a few things coming up that I’d like to bring your attention to. Firstly, some developments to our own Worcestershire Growth Hub website. We have launched a new tender opportunity section on our website, which means your business can access and view the current tender opportunities available as a result of local government grants, which have been provided with a view that these grants are then hopefully used locally by Worcestershire businesses working with other Worcestershire businesses.
Businesses can apply for various opportunities and promote their own opportunities all via this one web page, built in partnership with the County Council who are the grant awarding body.
Alongside this, we have also updated our services page to provide businesses with more information and support across key topics. We intend for this to be a useful resource that is freely available to help your business grow and access the right support required to support that growth
Make sure to check out the links in the newsletter and please let us have any feedback, good, bad or indifferent so that we can continue to improve these pages and make them as useful to you as we possibly can.
and finally, also taking place in early March will be a workshop with BetaDen around the innovative grants currently on offer and coming soon in partnership with Innovate UK.
This is a great opportunity for those businesses who want to invest in innovation and are looking for support to enable that investment. Spaces are very limited for this event, so I’d recommend early bookings to avoid disappointment.
And following the theme of innovation, we have the Business Worcestershire Innovation Conference taking place on the 13th of March. This is your chance to learn more about how businesses can become more innovative, prepare for securing investment and the local, regional and national support that is out there to help you do that.
As you can see, plenty going on as we head towards March. I’ll sign off as always, by encouraging you to engage with the growth of team to ensure your business is getting access to the support it needs. See you in March.
