Hello and welcome to the October 23 Worcestershire Growth Hub newsletter. As usual, there is lots going on across the county and beyond as the team continues to engage and support local businesses. Some quick highlights from this edition include flagging a range of business support events.
It was great to see so many local businesses at the Chamber of Commerce Expo earlier this month and we were pleased to meet a number of new businesses on the day and assist them with their inquiries.
We’ve also seen some skills support events taking place recently with one around workforce planning, helping businesses to understand what it is all about and some practical tools to help them do it. As well as the inclusive Worcestershire series. Again, helping local businesses with the people element of their business. Feedback from those that have attended has been really positive and there are still even more events planned for later this month and into November. So please make sure you check out the events section in our newsletter.
In other news, there is also support available for recent start up businesses. Those businesses under three years old can access some free specialist coaching to help your business grow with expert advice. Check out the article in the newsletter to find out more about this. We’ve also got some exciting news from BetaDen, our technology accelerator. BetaDen is delivering some workshops to help businesses of any size or sector to understand how they could develop mobile applications. The popularity of business apps has taken off in recent years, so this is a great chance to hear from experts to understand how your business could embrace mobile apps.
And finally, the last day in October marks the start of International Trade Week. This is a focused week where UK Government, and in particular the Department of Business and Trade, will be delivering a series of workshops and events across the country to help businesses embrace the opportunities associated with international trade.
