Have your say on how up to £25m could be invested in Worcester

This is a golden opportunity to help shape the future of our city.

The Government has selected 100 towns across the country to benefit from a £3.6 billion Town Fund – and Worcester is one of them.

Each area has been asked to create a Town Investment Plan to secure up to £25 million.

The aim is to drive economic growth and support recovery following the effects of COVID-19.

The funding can be used on capital projects to support skills and enterprise infrastructure, transport and digital connectivity, urban regeneration and arts, culture and heritage. The Worcester Town Board was set up in April 2020 to create our local Town Investment Plan – and so far over 170 projects have been submitted for consideration.

Following on from the consultation webinars we held in early October the Board has agreed a Vision for Worcester and we now have developed a medium list of 13 projects that are being taken forward for further consideration. We would like to hear your thoughts on those projects.

We invite you to join one of two sessions hosted by the Council’s Managing Director, David Blake and Corporate Director of Place, Andrew Round.

Join one of our Microsoft Teams Webinars, where you will be able to comment and ask questions on the medium list projects that will be considered for shortlisting.

For residents:  Wednesday 4th November at 7pm

For businesses:  Thursday 5th November at 7pm
