As things start to get a little easier for businesses, we would like to remind companies how and what you can file online with Companies House.
In the run-up to our traditional peak filing periods, we’ll be sharing updated guidance on what types of processes people can file online and how to do it.
Our ‘How-to’ guidance videos are being updated. These will show you things like, how to register for online filing and how to file dormant accounts. We will make these available on our social channels over the next few weeks.
To date, we’ve achieved high digital take-up of our services with many now choosing to with us online. Confirmation statements, accounts and other ‘event driven filings’, such as name changes, mortgage filings or dissolutions can all be completed online.
Increasing our digital take-up is important because it improves the accuracy and transparency of the information available on our register.
In the current climate, many businesses are under additional pressure, so it’s more important than ever that we try to make things easier. Over the past few months, teams right across Companies House have worked hard to introduce new legislative easements and the Corporate Insolvency and Governance Act.
Filing online will help us speed up processing times. Follow us on Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn to get our latest news. Our first two “How to” videos, How to identify your people with significant control and How to file online are now available on our YouTube channel.
