IT Skills Survey

Worcester Business School and the Worcester Local Enterprise Partnership have commissioned a research project into IT skills, resources and requirements of local organisations in order to see how Worcester Business School and the Worcester Local Enterprise Partnership can better support your needs.

For this research project, it is hoped that as many organisations as possible complete a brief online survey. We would be extremely interested and grateful to hear your views.

Begin the survey by clicking the link below signifies that you have given your consent to take part. There is no obligation to take part and if you do take part, you have the right to stop the survey at any time, and to have your responses discarded. All data will be stored confidentially and will be used for the contracted research purposes only.

The purpose is to evaluate the IT skills, resources and requirements of local organisations to see how Worcester Business School and the Local Enterprise Partnership can better support your needs.

Why have I been asked to take part?

Because you work within a local organisation that may have a particular interest in developing IT capability.

What if I don’t want to take part?

You are under no obligation to take part. Please do not begin the survey if you do not want to take part.

What exactly will I be required to do?

You will be asked a series of open and closed (tick-box or rating scale) questions. Overall, the survey should take no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete.

Is there any risk to me participating? 

There is no foreseen risk to you participating.

How will my responses be recorded?

Survey responses will be stored anonymously on a secure server at the University of Worcester. If you give your organisation name, this will be used to check which organisations have taken part, after which will be replaced by a unique reference number when responses are stored.

How long will it take?

This should take no longer than 15 minutes.

How exactly will my anonymity/confidentiality be ensured?

All of your responses will be aggregated with other participant responses so that they will be unidentifiable.

How will the results of the research be disseminated?

Your unidentifiable responses will be used by Worcester Business School and the Worcester Local Enterprise Partnership, and may be used in articles/reports stemming from the research.

What do I do if I want to stop half way through?

Please simply stop completing the survey and email Helen Watts (h.watts@worc.ac.uk), with the time and date you were last completing the survey if you would like to have your responses discarded.

How will my data be stored?

It will be stored anonymously on a secure server at the University of Worcester for no more than 10 years after which time it will be securely destroyed.
