Last Tech Tuesday of 2020 confirmed on 5G & Manufacturing

BetaDen, Worcestershire’s Commercial Technology Accelerator has confirmed their final Tech Tuesday of 2020.

 

Looking forward, Industry 4.0, the ‘Smart Factory’ and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) could be the saving grace of manufacturing. Designing production plants and intralogistics to be flexible, autonomous and efficient requires the right communication framework and comprehensive connectivity, 5G communication standard opens up important new prospects.

 

BetaDen, will be joined by guest speakers from Ericsson and Worcestershire 5G as they discuss the future of manufacturing and the impact of 5G.

 

Andy McKenzie, Worcestershire’s 5G Testbed Project Director will be joined by Ericsson Project Managers, Simon Evans and Noel Dias and take guests through:

  1. What is 5G?
  2. Private vs Public Network
  3. Industry 4.0 and why we need the 5G network in manufacturing
  4. A developing standard – What is to come?
  5. Open Q&A

The Tech Tuesday will take place on November 3rd from 12pm to 1pm and will utilise a brand new and improved streaming method.
