LEADER is part of the Rural Development Programme for England and is delivered locally by Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Local Action Group on behalf of Defra.
The focus of the programme is on growing the economies of rural communities by enabling local people to identify and implement solutions to local problems.

What is LEADER?

GRANTS
You can apply for between £2,500 – £50,000.
CRITERIA
To qualify, your idea must.
- Make a contribution to the rural economy; either directly by creating or safeguarding jobs and/or a business or indirectly through activity that will make a difference to the local economy.
- You must be a micro or small enterprise, a farmer, a community group or a charity (please refer to each priority for a full list of who is able to apply).

Your project idea must be well-developed with a robust and viable business plan. By Full Application stage you must be ready to start, and have all necessary permissions in place.
