A thousand local businesses are being invited to have their say about the future of business and economic policy in Worcestershire.
The Worcestershire Business Viewpoint survey aims to gather information from businesses across the county on behalf of Worcestershire County Council and the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership. Research and customer experience specialists, insight6 have been brought in to carry out the telephone survey and aim to contact in the region of one thousand businesses to gather opinions that will help shape the future of business in Worcestershire.
Previous surveys, the last in 2016, revealed the top three areas prioritised by Worcestershire businesses were; supporting growth of existing businesses; providing direct support to help business survive and grow, and the maintenance and development of key infrastructure.
Any business that receives a call will be consulted on business confidence, skills and recruitment, location and infrastructure and business support. The survey is set to run from October 15th until November 30th.
Councillor Ken Pollock, Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet member for Economy and Infrastructure said:“Worcestershire Business Viewpoint is our main research method to find out what local businesses want in the future and what they think about all of our services. It’s very important that we hear from as many companies as possible so we can plan effectively and improve our understanding of what businesses want and need from us.
“Ensuring Worcestershire is ‘Open for Business’ and the county’s economy flourishes is one of the four key priorities for Worcestershire County Council. By taking part in this survey you and your business needs will help shape the future decisions being made to steer business in Worcestershire.”
