When new broadband structures go live, the Superfast Worcestershire team like to shout it from the rooftop so that as many as people as possible can order a service from their choice of providers.
However, if you haven’t registered with us, followed us on Facebook or Twitter or regularly keep an eye on our updates, we might not be able to connect with you to give you the great news. Maybe we don’t have your full details so haven’t been able to connect your record to a particular structure, or it could be that you were previously on a long line, an exchange only line, or are in an area where we have carried out an FTTP (fibre to the premise) intervention. So, it’s worth checking just to see if your status has changed.
The best way to see if you have a live service is to use BT’s speed checker: www.dslchecker.bt.com/. To use the checker, either enter a BT telephone number (including area code) or your address (you need to click the link below the number box.) Our colleagues from the Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Broadband project put together a very handy ‘How to use the BT Line Checker’ guide (www.cswbroadband.org.uk/about-broadband/how-to-use-the-bt-line-checker), which will help you to make sense of the DSL Checker results.
Don’t forget that you will need to upgrade to a superfast broadband package through your chosen ISP to take advantage of infrastructure upgrades.

You can also consider the Gigabit Voucher scheme (https://gigabitvoucher.culture.gov.uk), which can be used by SMEs and the local communities surrounding them to contribute to the installation cost of a gigabit-capable connection. Businesses can claim up to £2,500 against the cost of connection either individually or as part of a group project.
