The owners of a popular Worcestershire hotel have made four new appointments following an unprecedented growth in the number of guests and event bookings.
The senior posts at Droitwich’s St Andrews Town Hotel bring many years of combined leisure industry experience to the thriving town centre venue.
In a key managerial appointment, Charlotte Stokes has been appointed to the new role of operations manager at the 31-bedroom hotel, which is owned by county-based Veritas Hotel Group.
In another new senior hire, Amanda Wallis has joined the group as its first marketing manager. The commercial and marketing specialist will work across both St Andrews Town Hotel and the company’s Stratton House venue in Gloucestershire.
The new hotel duo are joined by Sally Prosser who becomes the group’s financial controller, and Sarah Tanner, who will manage its office and administration teams.
The four appointments represent further investment by owners Aidan and Sarah Stevens whose Veritas Hotel Group took over the hotel in 2012. They have since doubled the workforce to 46, doubled the amount of corporate guests, and tripled the number of wedding bookings.
Aidan Stevens said: “The past five years have flown by but we are now seeing the strong impact our investment has had on the hotel, the level of our quality, and customer service.
“That’s why it’s so important to have the best, most experienced people on our team. We are delighted to welcome Charlotte, Amanda, Sally and Sarah. They each will play a key role in the hotel’s success story.
“Their expertise will be vital as we look to make further investments and improvements for our guests in the years ahead. It’s an exciting new chapter.”
Charlotte Stokes, operations manager added: “Being at St Andrews Town Hotel is a dream job for me, leading a great team in an amazing hotel. I’m really looking forward to playing my role in taking the hotel to the next level. Our focus is to guarantee that guests receive a first-class service time and time again, whether they are staying with us, dining in our restaurant, or visiting for an event.”
A key factor in the ongoing success of the hotel has been the creation of a 150-seat Orangery, which has helped the number of corporate guests and wedding bookings soar.
Constructed in the 1820s, St Andrews Town Hotel was once the home of Droitwich Spa’s town clerk. For further information please see www.st-andrewshotel.com
