The first successful Enterprising Worcestershire grant call closed on the 27th November with a high number of applications from local start-up businesses received.
The programme offers grants of £1,000 – £15,000, match-funded at 40% to eligible businesses. The second grant call is scheduled for February 2021, so if you are trading at least 70% B2B and less than 3 years old, email Ellie Brown ebrown4@worcestershire.gov.uk for more information.
Building from this success, the Enterprising Worcestershire team are happy to announce the first series of start-up support workshops for individuals looking to start a B2B business. They are currently being delivered on-line, with engaging interactive content covering a wide range of topics. New evening sessions will also launch in the new year to enable support to fit around your business needs.
For a limited time there will also be a £150 fund towards your choice of business membership. This will provide you with on-going support and access to a wide range of business services, critical for your early stage business. Memberships can cover access to a range of services, covering everything from legal and tax support, employment legislation, webinars and masterclasses and networking opportunities.
Going forward there will also be exciting new programme developments including:
- Specialist B2C start-up support workshops and 1:1’s
- Early stage business development support
- High Growth Activate Programme
- Enterprising Worcestershire partnering with Worcestershire libraries to provide start-up support
- The Enrich Programme, a partnership with the University of Worcester to deliver start-up support to young people.
