A new series of training support programmes and courses available in Worcestershire have been compiled together to support in upskilling individuals during the Covid 19 outbreak. These have been summarised below by the provider.
Serco: Skills Support for the Workforce (SSW) Covid-19 Delivery Offer
SSW is a programme developed to upskill employees in Worcestershire. SSW provides funded, recognised and accredited skills training to enhance employees’ skills, increase the competitiveness of businesses and help to boost the local economy. SSW’s network of delivery partners are now able to offer a wide range of funded training courses through online and distance learning. The courses available include:
- Management
- Sales
- Team Leading
- Customer Service
- Coaching

TDM
TDM are offering the “Get Ahead in Digital Transformation” this course is a 6-month, fully funded coaching programme, underpinned by certifications and courses in a range of tech & digital subjects. Learners will be supported through the programme by two TDM coaches, who focus on guiding learners through the technical content of the course and ensure they are progressing towards the goal of achieving either a new digital responsibility in their current job, or finding a brand new job with digital responsibilities.

Aspiration Training – Employers for Employees
Aspiration Training are offering a range of fully funded distance learning opportunities to individuals. All the courses available are Level 2 and are fully accredited. The courses available include:
- Awareness of Mental Health Problems

- Counselling Skills
- Principles of customer services
- Principles of team leading
- Understanding Autism
- Understanding behaviour that challenges
- Understanding nutrition and health

Adult Learning Worcestershire
Adult Learning Worcestershire have extended their course offers to individuals to include a wider range of courses on offer, all available for free or at a small charge. The courses are available to adults aged 19 and over and include:

- English and maths
- Learning for families
- Art culture and creativity
- Vocational and employment skills
- Modern foreign languages

UK Learns
UK Learns provides access to quality, certified courses, of which, many are free of charge. UK Learns offers a wide range of courses and is continuously updating and expanding the course available.
The areas covered are to help kickstart careers, get extra qualifications to progress or make a career change, brush up on interview skills or presentation skills, improve language, maths or communication skills or learn new skills for personal development or pleasure. The length of the courses vary from a couple of hours to 3 years.
