A new programme designed to help Worcestershire businesses get back on track after the Coronavirus lockdown is being launched.
Here2Help Business launches this week. It will provide financial support and consultancy advice to help kickstart the local economy. 
From today (16 July), small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) can apply for up to £10,000 for a Graduate Development Support Grant to recruit a graduate employee for a one year period.
Sustain and Grow Grants up to £25,000 are also open to applicants from today.
The grant will assist Worcestershire businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic supporting them with projects to help aid recovery and future growth.
A limited number of larger grants will also be available for businesses across the county.
These are available to help support projects that directly impact the COVID19 response.
There is also a capital grant provision for projects within the agriculture and horticulture sector.
Councillor Ken Pollock, Cabinet Member with Responsibility for the Economy and Infrastructure said: “We’re very keen to support all types of businesses in Worcestershire revive after the Coronavirus difficulties. Here2Help Business is a fantastic programme that offers financial support and advice ensuring Worcestershire’s economy is in the best position to recover.
“We know graduates are going to struggle to find work post-pandemic, therefore we have a specific graduate development grant. It is designed so businesses can hire graduates with the right skills and help to decrease youth unemployment figures in the county.”
The programme has been developed by Worcestershire County Council with partners and will support businesses impacted by the pandemic to recover, adapt and develop, and to support future resilience.
Adapt Business Support will launch in the following months, flexible business support delivered by expert advisers. This will include webinars, workshops and Business advice available to all Worcestershire businesses.
The Worcestershire Economic Recovery Plan was approved in last week’s County Council Cabinet meeting that will put £3.5million into kickstarting the local economy.
The plan has been developed under the Here2Help Worcestershire brand as Here2Help Business.
