A Bromsgrove based manufacturing company has been formally presented with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
Specialist Furniture manufacturer Winsted was presented with the prestigious accolade by the Deputy Lieutenant of Worcestershire, Mr Andrew Grant, when he visited its premises on Tuesday 20th September.
Recognised internationally, the award is the highest official UK business award and acknowledges the successful internationalisation strategy that Winsted has adopted in recent years. Winsted was one of just three Worcestershire companies to be recognised with the prestigious award for their exporting success.
Members of the Winsted team, instrumental in making the product, were addressed by the Deputy Lieutenant for their contribution to the industry and awarded a crystal bowl in recognition and a certificate of Her Majesty’s warrant duly signed by HRH Queen Elizabeth II and former Prime Minister David Cameron.
Making the presentation, the Deputy Lieutenant said: ‘The Queen’s Award for Enterprise are awarded to the very best companies. Winsted has proven themselves to be one of those companies’.
The award is the third Queens Award received by the company, the first award received in 2012 the year of the Queens Jubilee, with the latest award received during the years of the Queens 90th birthday.
