Registrations Open for Worcestershire LEP Conference

Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership has opened registrations for this year’s #WLEP17 Annual Conference.

Over 450 delegates are expected to attend this year’s half-day conference from 8.30am to 1:30pm on Friday 1 December 2017 at the Chateau Impney, Droitwich. The Conference will be hosted by the BBC Midlands Today’s main presenter, Mary Rhodes, who will be joined by business representatives including Paul Pattinson – Director of Service Management at O2, Marcus Burton – European Group Managing Director at Yamazaki Mazak, Keith Robson – Chief Operating Officer at University of Surrey and all three previous winners of the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards.

With Worcestershire in the news for achieving the UK’s highest growth in workforce productivity and higher level workforce skills, #WLEP17 is the perfect opportunity for businesses and partners of all sectors and sizes to hear the latest priorities for the future, ensuring Worcestershire’s long-term prosperity for all of its community. Organisations will also be on hand to offer guidance on Worcestershire’s latest connected, creative and dynamic projects, with opportunities to meet the experts throughout the morning and during the networking lunch.

Businesses are also invited to attend the ‘Healthy Business Breakfast’, sponsored by Bishop Fleming, which is taking place from 7:30-8:30am on the morning of the Conference. High profile business figures in health-related industries, including Richard Barnes – Inventor of the Body Volume Index, Peter Hunt – Product and Project Manager of Boardman Bikes and Liam McGreevy – General Manager of Hydro Industry Direct, will discuss some of the county’s latest innovations in health.

Mark Stansfeld, Chair of Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, said: “We are delighted to open registrations for one of Worcestershire’s largest business events and I am looking forward to meeting with businesses and partners to celebrate another hugely successful year for the local community and to look ahead to the county’s future with positivity and enthusiasm.

“We have recently seen that Worcestershire is leading the way in terms of growing workforce productivity and growing higher level workforce skills and we have many exciting projects to showcase to attendees including digital and physical connectivity, skills and business creativity, all of which will help to benefit all parts of the Worcestershire community.

“Last year, our Annual Conference was oversubscribed with a record number of registrations and I would therefore urge all interested parties to register as soon as possible.”

Sponsors of the event currently include: Hewett Recruitment, Bishop Fleming, RCA Regeneration, Thursfields Solicitors and The Training Academy. A vibrant exhibition area will also host a range of local companies and organisations showcasing their products and services. A limited number of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities are available, with details on the website.
