SkillsBoost Worcestershire
SkillsBoost Worcestershire is a new funding programme to help organisations with the costs of upskilling and training their employees.
Apply for a SkillsBoost financial grant to support upskilling of Worcestershire employers and employees.
Upskill your Worcestershire based(residents) employees up to £12,000 and claim 50% of the costs back (up to £6,000) from the SkillsBoost programme.
SkillsBoost is funded via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, distributed via all the District Councils in Worcestershire and delivered in partnership between Worcestershire Growth Hub and Worcestershire County Council.
What do you need to know about SkillsBoost?
Benefits to your business:
- SkillsBoost can help your business train and upskill or reskill your staff at a reduced cost to the organisation.
- Help redeploy your employees to maximise their effectiveness and enjoyment.
- SkillsBoost can help fund bespoke courses for sector specific organisations or standard accredited or non-accredited courses. (This cannot be mandatory courses for employment.)
Eligibility Criteria:
There are only a few requirements that have to be met to access SkillsBoost, the scheme has designed to be easy to access for businesses.
- Any business with employees that are residents of Worcestershire can access the scheme.
- Employees must reside in Worcestershire, this is based on resident postcode not business postcode.
- Businesses of any size are eligible.
- No one individual can have more than £1,500 funding grant.
- Maximum grant per business is £6,000.
SkillsBoost is only available from 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2025.*
*Funding will be offered on a first come first served basis.
