On Thursday 3 November, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce welcomed many young professionals from across the county to their Autumn TYRO networking event at Worcestershire County Cricket Club.

The event was held as part of the series of TYRO events which are held quarterly throughout the year at various locations across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. TYRO events are designed specifically for young professionals and those who are new to networking to come along and try out an informal session with like-minded peers. Each TYRO event hosts a brilliant speaker who shares useful tips from their experiences in business.

This month’s event saw Jacob Styler, Founder of Infinity Digital, speaking about his journey into Digital. Jacob spoke of his experiences joining the world of work, and how he didn’t expect to end up in digital marketing, after initially considering a career in nursing, followed by a move out of the social media arena, and ultimately pitching and owning his own marketing agency.

Jacob’s inspirational talk provided some insight into changing careers at a young age, and how finding your feet in business is not always straightforward. It was encouraging to hear Jacob talk about his passion for supporting the next generation of marketing professionals, and his plans for the future.

Attendees also benefitted from some brilliant tips from Jacob on implementing video into their businesses, and how to become more confident with digital marketing and following trends.

The next TYRO event will take place early in 2023. Places are free for delegates and all are welcome.
