Veronica Panting has been appointed as Business Centres Manager for the Redditch Business Centres.
There are three Council owned business centres in Redditch: Greenlands, Rubicon and Heming Road. They are situated less than a mile from each other and provide a total of 170 offices and light industrial units on flexible terms.
During her sixteen year career with Redditch Borough Council, Veronica has worked in all aspects of the business centres owned by the Local Authority. This journey began in 2001 when Veronica joined as a receptionist at the Rubicon Centre then moving to Greenlands six months later to continue in the same role. As the Business Centres developed and grew, so did Veronica’s role.
Veronica said
“Working with three different Managers during my time at Greenlands has helped me gain a large knowledge of how the centres are run. Stepping into this position is naturally challenging but having a great deal of knowledge and understanding of the individual tenants helps greatly. Working as a team is extremely important and we all work to achieve a consistently high standard of customer service.
“Running business centres has specific and unforeseen challenges. Each day is different, but overall I see my role as making sure that the tenants and staff are happy.
“The occupancy levels within the Business Centres are at a record high at the moment which has never been achieved before. As a team we are very proud of this and we will keep listening to the tenants and acting on their feedback.”
Veronica concludes,
“Our Business Centres provide an opportunity for small business to grow from being an independent business owner working from home to occupying an office/workshop giving them more scope to develop their company, and in turn create employment. I’m looking forward to the continued challenges and joys of helping people grow and develop their businesses here at the Redditch Business Centres.”
