We have all seen and heard some amazing stories of how people and organisations are supporting the NHS, by supplying equipment, food, supplies and many other things that are needed in this extraordinary and troubling time.
Locally, we have been able to link up companies through our WBC network to work together to help keep Worcestershire Royal Hospital employees safe, as well as help to provide the equipment that is currently in such high demand, not just locally but nationally as well.
We received a request to help via one of our key partners, Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce. The Royal Grammar School Worcester had designed a face visor which has been approved by the NHS. They reached out to the business community for help with finding a local supplier of polypropylene to make the flexible head strap for the face visor. Through our extensive networks, we found a local manufacturer who offered their services to help and therefore put the two in touch. Both companies are now collaborating together to find a fast solution.
Here in Worcestershire we are working hard to find companies who can help, and put them in touch with the relevant contacts to ensure the NHS has all they need. If you think that you can help, either directly, or working with another company, please contact us on info@worcestershiregrowthhub.co.uk so that we can connect you.
We are, of course, so very thankful to all of the NHS staff, and other key workers locally, and hope that we can help them in any way we can.
We hope that you and your families are keeping safe,
– Gwen Davies and Steve Winstanley (Worcestershire Business Central)
