What do you want for Christmas? County wide challenge launches to encourage local businesses to get into the festive season

Worcestershire innovators are getting into the festive spirit by preparing for the launch of the ‘All I want for Christmas’ campaign, a unique and fun initiative for members of the local community to connect and inspire each other this Christmas.

Designed to engage with innovators across Worcestershire while supporting local businesses, ‘All I Want for Christmas’ is a challenge asking businesses to share their key needs for the year ahead to help inform programme support offered, organised by Worcestershire County Council and hosted on their new Innovation Platform.

This December, local entrepreneurs, businesses and innovators of the Worcestershire community are invited to share their ‘Christmas Wishes’ via the Innovation Platform. The Innovation Platform is a 24-7 crowd innovation networking hub, that brings together business focussed opportunities, programme related information as well as a community of users to share ideas, solve problems and discuss their business challenges and ideas with the building community.

WINN and other ERDF funded programmes including Enterprising Worcestershire and Elevate, will connect and support with those who submit their ‘Christmas Wishes’ with either sharing business advice, funding and much more.

Jess Antley, Senior Project Manager at WINN, said: “With the countdown to Christmas on, we thought what better way to connect the growing Worcestershire community than to get involved in some fun Christmas festivities.

“All I want for Christmas is a fun and simple way for our community and the innovative Worcestershire network to share what they want for their businesses next year. Whether you are a recent graduate looking for support on how to start a business or a leading organisation looking for inspiration on how to creatively grow their business, this initiative helps our specialist programmes connect with individuals to help them achieve their ‘Christmas Wish’.

“Even if you don’t need the support at the moment or are just looking for creative ways to connect with other businesses in the Worcestershire area, our Innovation Platform is the place to be.”

Samantha Preece, Enterprising Worcestershire Project Manager at Worcestershire County Council, said: “This challenge is a great way for businesses to tell us about what they would like in terms of future business support. By letting us know your needs as a business, we can then identify gaps and provide the support you need.”

The Innovation Platforms brings innovators together, acting as a catalyst to create connections and collaborations across the diverse business landscape of Worcestershire.
