ISO Quality Services Ltd has been announced as a winner at the Midlands National Apprenticeship Awards 2016 regional ceremony.

The ISO Certification provider was winner in the region for Small Employer of the Year for the second time, after being awarded the title last year. The award was sponsored by Unilever.

The Awards, now in their thirteenth year, are run by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognise excellence in two areas: businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.

On winning, Jennifer Appleton, Operations Director of ISO Quality Services Ltd said:

“We are absolutely thrilled to have been chosen for this award once again. Our apprenticeship scheme is at the very heart of our company and we are very proud of our apprentices, but also our whole team for fully embracing the scheme and contributing towards learning and development. We are excited to once again be put forward to the National awards.”

ISO Quality Services Ltd won this award in recognition of their contribution to apprenticeships and providing opportunities to develop young people. The family business currently employs 16 people at its office in St Johns, and has taken on two new apprentices in the past year, one in Marketing and the other in Finance.

Jennifer is also an Apprentice Ambassador for the West-Midlands and is on the board of directors for a bi-monthly networking group for apprentices in Worcester, Apprentices in Business.

“The National Apprenticeship Awards enable exceptional apprentices and dedicated employers to receive the recognition they richly deserve. Apprenticeships enable people to gain the skills and knowledge they need to succeed – in some cases up to degree level; and for businesses to grow the talent they need.

“ISO Quality Services Ltd has won the Small Employer of the Year award at the Midlands Regional Finals and I would like to congratulate them on their achievement. Winning this award is greatly deserved. There has never been a better time to become an apprentice or employ one.”

ISO Quality Services Ltd will now submit further evidence in a bid to be selected for the national finals, competing against small businesses around the country. The National Awards ceremony will be held at The Grosvenor House, London on the 20th January 2017.
