Over 60 local business delegates attended Inspiring Growth: Business Development Roundtables at venues across Worcestershire to discuss various aspects of marketing used in lead generation and best practice in converting leads into sales.
The Business Development Roundtable events – organised following the success of the Worcestershire Business Central Inspiring Growth conference in September 2018 – gave businesses the opportunity to discuss barriers to growth with peers and utilise the business acumen shared by key speakers on the day. With the wealth of experience and wisdom from their field, the key speakers spoke on a range of topics to inspire business growth, including: digital marketing, social media, sales pipeline, time management, and procurement.
The inspiring speakers across the four roundtables, included: Warren Knight from Think Digital First; Simon Williams from Arrivista; Jack McCaughtrie from Core Tree; Andrew Lavoipierre from Action Coach; Ben Feltwell from Baldur Digital; Mike Andrews from Full Spectrum Sales Limited; Emma White from Real World Coaching; and Alison Atkinson from Worcestershire County Council.
Applying the knowledge accrued from the speakers on the day, delegates were asked to create actions to act upon within their business, with the emphasis on returning to a final Roundtable in 2019 to discuss the outcome of their actions.
Louise Roberts, from Alimenti, who attended said, “I enjoyed the speakers, particularly Andrew Lavopierre. I have acted upon two of my three actions, already. I have heard from Jack McCaughtrie before and think he is an excellent speaker.”
Ian Clubley, IC Business Coach, commented, “This was my first event and, therefore, my first opportunity to meet with local business leaders which is really important. Both guest speakers were excellent and Ben’s presentation around PR was particularly useful as I’m a social media novice.”
