A Worcestershire recruitment company has invested into local grassroots rugby by agreeing a 12-month sponsorship deal with a Malvern school.

GMP Recruitment has linked up with Dysons Perrins Church of England Academy where they have provided a striking new black and red kit for the school’s Year 11 rugby side.

Mike Pincott from GMP Recruitment said: “The Covid-19 pandemic has brought grassroots and school sport into sharp focus this year as it has meant children playing only some or no matches, and missing out on training and development.

“That has been tough for sport-loving school children, especially in such a rugby-mad county like Worcestershire.

“Overall, we wanted to do something to help lift spirits and the new kit looks superb. It will make sure the boys look their best when competitive sport restarts in the coming weeks and months.”

Stuart Lockwood, who is the PE teacher and rugby coach at Dyson Perrins, added: “The boys are so proud of their new kits and they will look the part when they come up against other schools when we can start playing matches again.

“We cannot thank Mike and the team at GMP Recruitment enough for their support and generosity as it is a huge expense to the school to kit out a whole rugby team. We look forward to keeping everyone updated with our progress on the rugby pitch in the months ahead.”
