Worcestershire’s First Clean Tech Innovation Conference

In celebration of its flourishing clean tech sector, Worcestershire is hosting the region’s first clean tech innovation conference on June 6 at Avoncroft Museum, Bromsgrove, from 10am.

The conference will showcase the work of local companies involved in development of new clean technologies, and will feature presentations from notable innovators as well as a keynote speech from a member of Climate KIC – a European organisation which funds and supports clean tech innovation across Europe.

The conference is aimed at innovators, entrepreneurs, buyers and suppliers across the sector and anyone interested in knowing more about developments in this sector.

Event organiser, Ruth Corrall, heads up Worcestershire County Council’s Low Carbon Opportunities Programme (LoCop), one of a suite of business support programmes boosting local entrepreneurs and SMEs.

“This conference is an opportunity to bring together everyone who is interested in clean tech. As well as the exhibition there will be plenty of networking opportunities and free lunch!” said Ruth .

“We have everyone from product development specialists to investment specialist. If you have a clean or low carbon tech that you want to showcase – you need to be here.”

Worcestershire’s clean tech industry includes businesses working on electric vehicles, battery storage, waste solutions and anaerobic digesters taking dog poo to power lighting and a whole host of new renewable technologies. Come along to the event to find out more about these and more!
