Ellis from Mac Motorcycles dreamt of designing and building his own motorcycle.

There was a lot of interest in the Mk I motorcycle- particularly from Malaysia. So, once they realised there was considerable interest, the ERDF funded Proof of Concept grant brought them speed to market in just four months, something that Ellis describes as invaluable.

The Mk II was funded by the grant and once their potential Malaysian customer came to see and ride the bike, he increased his order from a few tens of motorcycles to several hundred. Taking to from becoming a hobby, to a business.
